Getting “your” sexy back?
Most women and men spend month’s even years trying to lose those hard press pounds before their wedding day, special events, that dream vacation or when we meet that special person. Every January 1, we promise ourselves, “I am going to eat right, lose weight, etc., etc.” After a while, The New Year’s resolutions start to become a joke rather than an actual goal. When the time comes to be intimate with your spouse, you suddenly lose that confidence you had , “like when you were modeling that new swimsuit or new outfit in front of the mirror.” When you see a little or a lot of bulge here or there, don’t panic, do something about it but be reasonable. It’s a fact, your body is shaped according to your genetics. If you think lifting weights is going to increase your bust size, you’re sadly mistaken. The reason why many people give up on diets, workouts, etc is because they fall into the “Over Fantasizing, unreasonable expectations, thinking movie stars really look like that” Trap. Don’t get me wrong, having an imagination and fantasies can be a really good thing, especially with the one you love ;), but over fantasizing and not being realistic when it comes to your body and losing weight can destroy your confidence and well as your love life.
What is most important is how you feel about yourself and how well you’re treating your body. Whether you have a tight body or you have some flab, having positive living habits will not only help your mind presently and the years to come but your body as well. Comparing yourself to someone on the “Big screen” or in a fashion magazine or anyone for that matter can be damaging to your confidence if you are unable to reach those fantasy goals. “Know thy self!” If you’re a big boned person, you may never fit into a size 4 and it may be hazardous to your health trying to reach that goal. To give you an idea of what your weight should be, using a Weight Calculator is a helpful tool. (http://www.healthycalculators.com/body-weight.php) Keep in mind, men and women weight calculations differ. Example: Male-height 180 centimeters-with a medium build average weight would come in at around 154-188. Female-height 180 centimeters-with a medium build average weight would come in at around 139-170.
Let’s face it, various things in life can cause those once solid abs to stretch a bit but staying fit will bring on positive energy as well as keeping you in good health. My Philosophy is, if you feel uncomfortable, then it’s time to loss some weights. You don’t know the meaning of “uncomfortable?” Well here are a few signs… If you have to unbutton those jeans when you sit down to eat, or you start to feel like you’re carrying another person on your shoulders when you take a stroll down the street, nine times out of ten, your feeling “uncomfortable” with your body. Now if you feel good rocking a size O or a size 50 then rock on! Just make sure you are healthy doing it.
No one and I’ll repeat this again…”no one,” has a “perfect” body. If you are human than you have flaws, so stop being hard on yourself and do yourself a favor and learn to love yourself in the skin that you are in. Set realistic goals if you need to lose some weight or tone up to feel extra sexy and confident. I am not going to start talking about what diet you should venture into but Fad diets and drinking liquids 24/7 is not healthy and you will eventually gain the weight back when you start to eat solids. My take is simple…eat right (lean meats, veggies, fruits, watch your salt and sugar intake and treat yourself to a favorite food or desert at least once a week (in moderation) and stay active. The bottom line is that you know “you” better than anyone in the whole world so do what works best for you. Love yourself, put good things into your body, minimize your stress and do some kind of exercise (walking, running, yoga, dancing, etc.). Treat yourself to something nice once in a while and take time to relax with some “me” time. For me, getting my hair and nails done, buying some sexy lingerie (Teez Delicate Delights!) and spraying my favorite perfume seems to do the trick to bring back my sexy. Once you start to feel good about yourself ,you’ll soon see your sexy come back and nothing can stop a confident person! Happy New Year!
