The key to selecting the right bridal shower gift is to really know or find out about the “BRIDE TO BE” you are shopping for.  Many times we will “rack our brains” trying to find that perfect gift that will not only impress the bride but others at the bridal shower.  The secret to your success is as simple as asking the “Bride to be”, the bridesmaids or close relative and friends of the “bride to be.”  Here are seven suggestions to help you buy the perfect gift she will love.

1) Ask the “bride to be”:  what are three things she would like as a gift? And choose one or take hints from the bridal shower invitation.

2) Ask where the “Bride to be” is registered:  Most brides will have a registry at several of their favorite stores which in most cases are printed on the invitation.

3) Ask the“Bride to be” close family and friends: Most family members, friends and bridesmaids know the bride pretty well and can give you some guidance and hints on what the bride would love as a gift.

4) Leave “your” wants and desire out of the equation.  Don’t buy gifts you secretly want or have had your eye on.  The “Bride to be” may have a totally different “sense of taste and style” than you have.

4) Make sure the gift is wrapped nice! Paper bags, store bags are just plain “No, No’s”, party etiquette.  First impressions go a long way. Invest in nice gift wrapping, bags or think outside of the box (using a keepsake box is two gifts in one!).

6) If you are buying lingerie, “please” make sure you have the “Bride to be” correct lingerie size. Choose colors that complement the “Bride to be” favorite color instead of buying her favorite color. You don’t want to be among the many guests who have brought the same color.  It’s boring and you’re gift will Stand out by choosing a complementary color! Shopping at Teez Delicate Delights can help you with this.

7) Lastly, try not to be too raunchy! It’s OK to add a little naughtiness to the shower but keep in mind the “Bride to be” mother, grandmother and the future mother-in-law are present. I mean, can you imagine the poor “Bride to be” holding up a vibrator x 1000 and slowly peering to see her future mother-in-law looking in shock!  If you must buy these type of gifts then smaller verse larger may suffice or just try to save those types of gifts for the Bachelorette Party.

At the end of the day, relax! Most “Bride to be” are appreciative that you took the time to purchase a gift and attend her bridal shower and if she’s not, well you’ve done your best!
